Full Description
February 1952. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description Excerpt:
"Conduit, dated 1814, built at expense of Abbot Upcher. Pebble flint with gault brick dressings. Circular cistern c.4m across, walls [c.1]m high of pebble flint panels articulated by vertical bands and pilaster strips of brick; coping of stone and brick."

November 2001. Field Observation.
Abbot Upcher's Conduit, dated 1814.
Pebble flint and gault bricks.
Circular cistern 4m across, walls 1m high with panels of flint and brick.
Arch under pediment above back side inscribed ANNO PACIS MDCCCXIV.
Interior of cistern slopes to centre brick tank, when full water flows out via two spouts at corners, and flows in through one at rear.
Seen working in wet weather by E. Rose (NLA).

November 2012. Minor Amendment to Listing.
The mapped location of this record has been corrected.
When Listed in February 1952, this record was located at TG 14375 41885. This incorrectly placed it at 3, Church Close, Upper Sheringham. It has been moved approximately 25m to the east of this point and is now located at TG 14401 41881, The Conduit, Circa 30 Metres North West of Church of All Saints, The Green.
