Summary

This timber-framed house may have originally been a two cell building, dating to sometime before the mid 16th century. The present incarnation is mostly of mid 16th century date and was extended in the late 17th/18th century. Its cross passage plan may be due to 19th century antiquarianism. A possible smoke house, of 19th century date, is located in the garden.
