September 2001. Field Observation.
In rear garden wall to south on approximate line of precinct wall of abbey (NHER 9437) a carved limestone block in form of finial or canopy, 15th century.
House is 19th century, originally tuck-pointed, as far as street block is concerned but rear projection contains ceiling beams from the 17th to early 18th century - apparently only remnant of older house on site.
E. Rose (NLA), 15 September 2001.
