In 2001 construction work on this site revealed numerous clay pipes, including 17th century examples, one sherd of medieval unglazed pottery, and much iron slag which may be associated with smithing activity.

Summer 2001. Building site. Much ground disturbance observed.
Numerous clay pipes, including 17th century examples, one body sherd medieval unglazed pottery, much iron slag, large sample seen by A. Rogerson (NLA) is vesicular, ?smithing.
