Full Description
2001.
Found in a new post-hole for fence.
?Strike-a-light.
Largely, if not completely, formed by natural fracturing (starch fracture), this object is heavily abraded along the two edges and on the tip of the long pointed end: this abrasion may also be from natural processes, but could also have been the result of use with steel as a strike-a-light.
Iron staining on all the atrises and is therefore presumed natural.
Identified by P.A. Robins (NCM).
A. Rogerson (NLA), 14 December 2001.
