Summary

Aerial photographs taken in 1996 show the cropmarks of two ring ditches in this area. One of these ring ditches has an inner concentric circle and a cross-shaped marking, which may indicate the former presence of a windmill or post mill here. Several linear features were also noted on the photographs, although their date is uncertain.

Map

28 June 1996. NLA air photography.
Cropmark of a ring ditch at NGR TG 1714 3645, this may have an outer concentric ring, only sections of which are visible. A second smaller, fainter ring ditch is visible to the immediate south.
Situated in the corner of the modern field are two concentric rings, partially obscured by field boundaries. In the centre a faint cross can be seen, indicating a post mill/windmill. It possibly reused an earlier mound.
Linears can be seen, possibly part of a rectilinear enclosure.
