Full Description
25 June 1996. NLA air photography.
Cropmarks are visible in the field to the northeast of Saxthorpe Church.
It is mainly a few linear features and enclosures that can be seen.
The main cropmarks of interest are located in the southwest corner of the field along by the road. Other cropmarks can be seen, but some of these are the remians of old field boundaries which are marked on (S1)
However, these field boundaries also relate to other cropmark features not shown on (S1), alluding to an earlier land pattern.
H. Clare (NLA), 3 September 2001.
