Summary

A few linear features and some flints were discovered through trial trenching on this site. A trench across the ring ditch found no convincing trace of subsoil features.

January and March 2002. Trial Trenching.
Trial trenching revealed a few linear features and recovered some flints.
An additional trench subsequently excavated across the line of a previously identified cropmark ring ditch (NHER 31470) failed to identify any convincing trace of this feature.
