Full Description
22 July 1996. NLA aerial photography.
Cropmarks of linear features, enclosures, road/track and circular marks are visible.
Most of these circular marks are probably the remains of stack stands (sometimes called Riley circles) with a broadly medieval date, they were presumably to provide local drainage around small haystacks.
H. Clare (NLA), 10 January 2002.
