Summary

Aerial photography from 1996 records the cropmarks of linear features, enclosures, a road/track and circular features. Most of these circular marks are probably the remains of stack stands, sometimes called 'Riley circles', with a broadly medieval date. They are believed to represent ditches used to provide local drainage around small haystacks.
