Summary

A probable medieval saltern is visible as an earthwork and cropmark on 1944 and 1948 aerial photographs. It is one of a number in this area and seems to have been partially overlain by a later sea bank on its north side.

A probable medieval saltern is visible as an earthwork and soilmark at TF 6462 2792 southwest of Wolferton.
The mound seems to have been partially overlain by a later sea bank on its north side.
The mound is one of a number in this area.
