Full Description
1958 and 1970. RAF air photography.
A sea bank, of probable medieval or post medieval date, is visible as earthworks and soilmarks on the north side of the Babingley River, extending possibly from TF 6495 2735 SE to TF 6735 2559.
The bank probably represents several phases of building and there are probable superceded bank lines at TF 657 261 and TF 643 265.
A. Miller (Suffolk County Council NMP), 11 July 2000.
