Summary

A watching brief in 2002 recorded a series of ditches, probably the remains of an early post medieval system. A piece of medieval pottery, animal bones and post medieval brick, pottery, tile and glass fragments were recovered.

February 2002. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of groundworks associated with construction of new dwelling. Contexts 1 to 21.
A series of north-south and east-west aligned ditches was identified, probably representing an early post-medieval field system. Post-medieval pottery, animal bone, ceramic building material and glass retrieved from ditch fills.
Single sherd of medieval pottery also recovered.
