Summary

Aerial photographs taken in 1948 and 1966 show the earthwork of a probable medieval saltern mound. It is one of a large number in the area.

A probable medieval saltern is visible as an earthwork at TF 6358 2524, northwest of North Wootton.
The mound is one of a large group in this area and has been apparently bisected by a drainage ditch.
