Summary

Aerial photographs taken in 1948 shows the earthwork of a possible post medieval sea defence bank. It is however possible that the feature is the result of drain digging or clearance.

1948. RAF air photography.
A possible sea bank is visible as an earthwork extending from TF 6403 2646 SE to TF 6437 2628.
Its location suggests that it is a genuine feature, and it is probably post medieval in date.
However, it may not be archaeological, resulting instead from either drain digging or cleaning.
