Summary

Bottle Cottages are a row of two storey cottages built of flint cobbles with red brick dressings, with a black pantile roof. The cottages have a remarkable decoration of bottle bases forming pediments and other patterns, which are said to be relics of the celebration when the news of Waterloo was received.
