Summary

Metal detecting between 2002 and 2021 recovered a Roman pottery sherd; an undatable chalk gaming piece; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins (including two coins of King Stephen) and a range of other, undatable and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include an undatable lead unidentified object; a potentially Late Saxon/medieval bridle fitting; medieval and post-medieval dress accessories; medieval horse-harness pendants, a stirrup terminal, key and copper alloy and lead seal matrices; a medieval/post-medieval copper alloy cauldron fragment and a post-medieval mount.
