January 2002. Metal detecting.
Ploughed, 30m south of road and 100m east of track.
Post medieval spout end fragment of a copper alloy tap. Broken at both ends, i.e. spout itself missing. The tube is oval at end nearest tap, interior diameter 16 x 12mm. Springing outwards from droop towards spout is a large solid flat topped projection. Round section, interior diameter 10mm at spout end. The projection is much more pronounced than examples in (S1) and (S2). 16th or 17th century.
