Summary

Metal detecting at this location during 2002-03 recovered a range of multi period metal objects. Finds comprised, amongst others, five Roman brooches, several Early Saxon supporting-arm brooches, two medieval seal matrices and coins from the medieval and post medieval periods.

March-April 2002. Metal-detecting.
Area of large field which also contains NHER 35800 and 36287.
8 Roman brooches (5 of them found together) and 1 seal box.
1 ?Roman/?Early Saxon ?brooch.
2 Early Saxon Brooches (cruciform).
1 ?Early Saxon brooch (unusual supporting arm type).
1 undated casting jet.
