Full Description
1997. Metal detecting.
Medieval seal matrix recorded by Val Fryer, as evidenced in writing on minigrip containing cast. There is no detail of find spot or description and only wax cast survives. Quality of die indicates that it was copper alloy.
Pointed oval, 27 x 18mm, bearded and capped bust facing left, a star above the haed and to left of neck.
