Full Description
June 2002. West View, Upgate Street.
Timber framed house on cross passage plan but with one service room entered from the other. Stack has removed partition between hall and parlour, yet there is some evidence that the upper floor is original. Possibly stack later enlarged. Original building seems late 16th century. Northern cell, probably 18th century, heightened in 19th or early 20th century.
See (S1) in file.
