Map

January 2001. NMP.
A short section of beach defence scaffolding, some 25m long, is visible at TF 7713 4518 - TF 7715 4518 as a structure on 1945 aerial photographs (S1). It blocks an inland access road and sits between a military building complex and a gun emplacement. This feature was part of the World War Two defences in this area. About 5m west of this scaffolding, at TF 7712 4518, is a small miltary structure, possibly a pillbox. This too would have been a component of this areas World War Two defences. It may also already have been recorded as NHER 15653 or NHER 15654.
A. Hunt (NMP), 29 January 2001.
