Map

February 2001. NMP.
A stretch of bank, about 90m long, is visible as a faint earthwork on 1946 aerial photographs (S1) between TF 6931 4232 and TF 6931 4223. The bank is oriented north to south and is a maximum of 5m wide. The bank does not appear on the early Ordnance Survey maps, however, a linear feature representing the edge of the trackway depicted on Faden's 1797 map of the area (S2), shares the same alignment as the bank visible on aerial photographs. It thus seems likely that the bank formed one edge of a post medieval trackway.
A. Hunt (NMP), 5 February 2001.
