Summary

Metal detecting in this area during 2002 recovered a range of metal artefacts and coins dating to a variety of archaeological periods. Finds of note include a medieval horse harness pendant which was once gilt, a post medieval buckle with foliate decoration, three post medieval coins of Elizabeth I and two Roman coins of Marcus Aurelius.

4 Roman coins.
2 medieval coins, 2 pottery sherds (inc 1 unglazed stabbed strap handle), 1 horse harness pendant, 1 brooch frame fragment (gilt, annular), 1 buckle frame (gilt) and 1 belt mount.
4 post-medieval coins, 1 token, 1 buckle frame fragment, 2 buckle frames and 1 vessel foot fragment.
2 undated lead weights and 1 ring fragment.
