Location

Civil Parish STURSTON, BRECKLAND, NORFOLK

Map

18 July 2002.
Found on mole hill (almost the only bare surface visible), slightly southwest of the remaining façade of Sturston Hall:
One body sherd, soft, shelly pinkish oxidised, probably Late Saxon St Neots ware, but smallness of sherd (weighing 3g) makes absolute certainty impossible. Does not look Roman.
A. Rogerson (NLA), 16 September 2002.
