Summary

Metal-detecting in 2002 and 2006 recovered medieval and post-medieval coins and a medieval jetton. A fieldwalking and metal-detecting survey of part of this field in 2008 recovered a prehistoric flint blade; Late Saxon, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; a ?Roman tile fragment; post-medieval roof tiles and post-medieval clay tobacco pipe fragments.

March-April 2008. Systematic Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey.
Field survey on proposed route of Sheringham Shoals Offshore Windfarm Grid Connection (Field 50).
Finds recovered included:
1 prehistoric flint blade.
1 ?Roman tile fragment.
1 Late Saxon pottery sherd.
1 medieval pottery sherd.
1 medieval/post-medieval pottery sherd.
2 post-medieval pottery sherds, 2 clay tobacco pipe fragments, 1 pantile and 1 roof tile.
