Full Description
October 2002. Norfolk NMP.
The site consists of a group of cropmark banks and ditches, visible on 1946 RAF aerial photographs (S1). The main feature is a bank, approximately 315m long and 6m wide, running from TF 8111 4297 to TF 8137 4315. Perpendicular to this is a second bank running from TF 8123 4305 to TF 8127 4301, measuring 63m by 3m. To the north of these features is a ditch, running from TF 8142 4318 to TF 8151 4322. This seems to be continuing the line of the main bank. It is likely that these features may be field boundaries, possible dating to late medieval to post medieval enclosures and hedges.
S. Massey (NMP), 4 October 2002.
