Map

January 2001. Norfolk NMP.
A sinuous linear earthwork bank is visible between TF 8329 4321 and TF 8419 4274 on 1946 aerial photography (S1).
It follows a road southwest to northeast before turning northwest to southeast and following a water course. The road actually appears to run along the top of the bank for about 450m. The bank may provide some form of flood defence for the area, as it is not far from the coastal saltmarshes. However, the feature does not seem to appear on earlier maps, which suggest it may be of no great antiquity.
A. Hunt (Suffolk CC NMP), 31 January 2001.
