Full Description
September 2002. Norfolk NMP.
Earthwork bank and ditch running from TF 6939 4329 to TF 6917 4341 across the Hunstanton golf course, visible on 1944 RAF aerial photographs (S1). The bank is 190m long and varies from between 3m and 8m in width. At its north western end its course is continued by a ditch, 70m long and 2m wide. It is likely that this boundary pre-dates the establishment of the golf course, suggesting a medieval to post medieval date. Although the possibility exists that the earthworks are part of the World War Two activity on the golf course.
