Map

September 2002. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of quite broad ditches visible on BKS aerial photographs from 1987 (S1), which are likely to be medieval to post-medieval field boundaries. These are possibly associated with the Ringstead DMV site to the immediate west (NHER 1115). A ditch can be seen running from TF 6871 3998 to TF 6889 4010. To the north a second group of linears, run from TF 6867 4000 to TF 6878 4007, then turning to the south until TF 6882 4002, crossing the lower linear feature. These features appear to be between 3m and 9m in width, although this may be due to spreading of material by the plough action.
S. Massey (NMP), 19 September 2002.
