Full Description
Inside 20th century Northlight Printing Works (now gymnasium) there survive two sections of courtyard façade, 7m and 9m in length, 3.07m high. Consists of wooden cornice probably 18th century in date, partly above windows of timber and frosted glass of surgery of about 1900, partly above recessed doorway now removed. Tuscan columns may pre-date surgery. Section of cornice on east side of former court is reset on late 18th or 19th century building.
Copy of (S1) in file shows arrangement in about 1900; glimpse of stuccoed walling with imitation quoins above in late 17th/18th century style.

Copy of 1881 25 inch map (S4) in file shows original position, and confirms basic structure is pre-1881.
Proposed demolition and re-erection in museum.
