Summary

Metal-detecting between 2002 and 2013 recovered late prehistoric and Bronze Age retouched flint flakes; a fragment of quern stone made from Hertfordshire puddingstone; Roman and medieval pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins and Roman and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Roman brooch, finger ring and a strap fitting; medieval dress accessories, a barrel padlock, key and a nail cleaner; a medieval/post-medieval weight, part of a chafing dish and a purse bar and a post-medieval finger ring, furniture fitting, part of a candlestick, strap fitting and weight.

3 Roman coins, 2 pottery sherds (1 Central Gaulish Samian, 1 greyware) and 2 brooches (1 headstud, 1 plate).
2 medieval coins, 1 buckle (gilt) and 1 two-part strap end.
1 medieval/post-medieval lead weight and 1 purse frame fragment.
3 post-medieval coins, 1 lead trade weight (1/4oz) and 1 ?hooked belt mount.
