NHER 39403 (Find Spot record) - Bronze Age finds from Holme Beach

Summary

Fieldwalking between 2000 and 2021 recovered a number of Bronze Age artefacts along this section of Holme Beach, close to the 'Seahenge' Early Bronze Age timber circle (NHER 33771). These included, Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age, Bronze Age and Early to Middle Bronze Age pottery sherds, an Early Bronze Age button and a Late Bronze Age chisel. An undatable flint hammerstone was also recovered.

Found whilst walking on beach by [2] in two areas.
Early Bronze Age button.
Late Bronze Age chisel (tanged) (S1).
5 Bronze Age pottery sherds.
Undatable hammerstone.

1 Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age Beaker pottery sherd.
44 Early/Middle Bronze Age grog-tempered pottery sherds.
