Summary

A Late Neolithic/Middle Bronze Age flint knife was recovered during agricultural or drainage work between 1975 and 2014, while metal-detecting in 2002 or 2003 recovered an unusual medieval copper alloy buckle.

December 2002-January 2003. Metal-detecting. Arable within Crown Point Park (NHER 37582).
1 medieval copper alloy unusual buckle (oval with narrowed offset bar, convex outside edge with five sets of outward-pointing chevrons, sheet folded widthways, recessed with slot for sheet pin and folded widthways, attachment end has three projecting triangular foils, one outer foil missing, the other pierced by copper alloy rivet, incised rocker-arm decoration, lozengiform with double border and detail on foils, 51 x 36mm. 13th century).
