Map

April 2003. Norfolk NMP.
The feature can be traced running from the Sea bank (NHER 2187) at TF 5953 2287 (S1) northwards to meet with bank NHER 27190 at TF 5820 2472. The bank has an approximate length of 2.4 km, although it is not certain whether this represents one continuous build or several different episodes of construction. The feature is depicted on Faden’s map of 1797 (S3) and an 18th century date for this feature is probable, although it may have utilised part of an earlier, existing bank. The eastern part of this bank is superseded by NHER 27209.
M. Brennand (NMP), 30 April 2003.
