Map

January 2003. Norfolk NMP.
The western mound (TF 5961 2287) is sub rounded in plan (S1) with a maximum diameter of 44m. The eastern mound (TF 5965 2288) is irregular in plan, with a maximum diameter of 48m. The two mounds are approximately 9m apart. These are almost certainly saltern mounds, and their location, to the north the Sea Bank (NHER 2187) would suggest a later medieval date for their use.
M. Brennand (NMP), 14 February 2003.
