Full Description
October 2002. Norfolk NMP.
Three straight linear features are visible (S1 and S2) to the immediate west of the Lynn Channel cut (NHER 13532). The western feature (TF 6071 2097 to TF 6073 2105) is aligned in an approximate east to west direction and has a length of 73m. The easternmost feature (TF 6082 2106 to TF 6083 2090) consists of two parallel aligned ditches running in an approximate north to south direction for a length of 156m. The ditches are approximately 10m apart.
This area was probably saltmarsh and riverine mudflat up until the nineteenth century and so the features are unlikely to be earlier than this date.
