Full Description
June 2003. Norfolk NMP.
This site may be the result of salt production processes, but may simply be natural. The mound is sub-rounded in plan, with a maximum diameter of 57m (S1). The mound is possibly a saltern and, along with mounds (NHER 27894) to the immediate south, is the southernmost production site within the south Wootton and King’s Lynn saltern group. If this is a saltern it is likely to date from the medieval period.
