Map

June 2003. Norfolk NMP.
A low sub-rounded mound is visible (S1) centred on TF 6265 2165. The mound has a maximum diameter of 84m. Although this is not the most distinct of earthworks it is possibly a medieval saltern mound, formed by piles of waste sand during salt processing. It is within the area of a large group of mounds, located on the former saltmarsh to the east and north of King’s Lynn.
M. Brennand (NMP), 23 June 2003.
