Map

June 2003. Norfolk NMP.
This feature is curious, and may not be archaeological at all, although it does not appear to have been caused by modern agricultural practices. There is a short stretch of north to south aligned bank which appears to adjoin an elongated sub-oval or sausage-shaped arrangement of bank (S1) with its long axis on an east to west alignment. The oval feature has a length of 47m and width of 8m. This feature is probably formed by a ploughed out bank, although it is possible that the feature is actually a ditch and the cropmark is reversed, although this is unlikely.
It is uncertain what date this feature may be, or what it may represent.
M. Brennand (NMP) 30 June 2003.

September 2016. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of part of large proposed development site.
This survey revealed no evidence for sub-surface remains associated with these cropmarks.
See report (S2) and NHER 66865 for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 18 April 2023.

February-May 2018. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of part of large proposed development site.
Although the entirely of this field was examined it appears that none of the trenches actually coincided with this cropmark group.
See NHER 66865 for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 18 April 2023.
