Map

June 2003. Norfolk NMP.
An approximately square enclosure or field is visible to the east of the Great Ouse (S1). The feature is aligned approximately north to south and has an internal dimension of 60m X 70m. The probable fourth, western side of the ‘square’ is formed by the line of sea defence bank NHER 27938. This feature is located on an area of saltmarsh that was probably not reclaimed until relatively recently, and is possibly later Post-medieval or modern. It appears to be a field or similar enclosure tacked onto the seaward side of a sea bank, and may be for stock.
M. Brennand (NMP), 27 June 2003.
