Summary

A 2003 walkover survey discovered three narrow logs amongst a peat bed. They were aligned parallel to one another, suggesting they had been deliberately placed in the peat possibly as a part of a platform or trackway. Two of the timbers showed evidence of woodworking and have been dated to the Bronze Age.
