Summary

Metal detecting in 2003 and 2023 recovered a Late Saxon coin and gold fitting with a glass inlay which is probably part of a 16th-century dress fastener.

Before 31 March 2003. Metal-detecting.
Post-medieval gold fitting with glass inlay (weighing 0.79g), probably part of a 16th-century dress fastener. Similar objects can be seen in 16th English painted portraits but no other examples have been reported as treasure or are in public collections.

This gold dress fastener was disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2003 T92) and returned to the finder.
