Summary

Fieldwalking in 2003 recovered prehistoric worked flints, a Neolithic flint scraper, a Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged flint arrowhead and Roman coins. Also found were fragments of Bronze Age, Iron Age, Roman, Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery and a piece of medieval floor tile.

19 and 20 July 2003. Fieldwalking. Contexts 401-468.
Fieldwalking in the southern half of the field recorded 35 burnt flint fragments and 149 prehistoric worked flints including a Late(?) Neolithic scraper, a Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged flint arrowhead (context 401, see sketch in file), one core, 6 undated scrapers, 7 knives, and 5 borers. One possible beaker sherd was recorded, one Iron Age and one Roman sherd, Late Saxon (Thetford ware), medieval and post medieval pottery, one medieval floor tile fragment, and one piece of iron slag.

The finds were donated to the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2004.804)
