April-October 2003. Watching Brief [1].
Work undertaken during construction of new flood defences along the eastern bank of the River Yare (Broadland Flood Alleviation Project - Compartment 35).
Two features observed towards the north-east end of the river: an infilled soke dyke and another soke dyke or possibly a pit.
A number of post-medieval finds were also recovered from unstratified deposits along this stretch of the river.
