Map

April 2002. Norfolk NMP.
A right angled segment of ditch (TF 7716 4182 to TF 7717 4177 to TF 7725 4179) may represent the south western corner of a small enclosure or field (S1). To the east is an isolated area of parching (TF 7727 4179) which may represent a buried metalled surface, but may equally be caused by compaction by farm traffic.

In 1946 there was a small farm and garden to the immediate east, which has since been demolished. The farm is not recorded on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey (S2) but is visible on the 1902-7 revision, called 'Field Barn' (S3). The feature probably represents a small enclosure or home field associated with the farm, but equally may be earlier in date.
M. Brennand (NMP), 16 April 2002.
