Map

April 2002. Norfolk NMP.
The southeastern feature is formed by four stretches of ditch (S1) with an approximate combined length of 100m (From TF 7952 4193 to TF 7945 4186). It is suspected that the gaps within this ditch are not causeways, but due to differential survival of the feature. This ditch may be forming the northwestern element of an enclosure with a minimum diameter of 99m. To the immediate northwest is a second, more circular length of ditch, which appears to be forming the northeastern element of a round enclosure. The feature would have a minimum diameter of 55m. This feature appears to be more circular and maybe part of a large ring ditch (centre: TF 7945 4195).
The geology in this area also causes confusing cropmarks. It is strongly suspected that archaeological features have caused these cropmarks, but a geologically natural cause cannot be ruled out. See also NHER 24408.
M. Brennand (NMP), 17 April 2002.
