Summary

Two undated linear features are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs of this area. These may be part of a system of land division, possibly medieval strip fields.

The features are aligned in an approximate east to west alignment, at right angles to Creake Road, but parallel with existing field boundaries (S1). The northern feature (TF 8539 4108 to TF 8548 4110) appears as a ditch, with a recorded length of 95m. The southernmost feature (TF 8540 4105 to TF 8548 4107) appears as a ditch with a possible bank on its southern side, recorded for a length of 88m.

Part of a system of land division. Possibly the vestiges of a system of medieval strip fields.
