Summary

17th century Saffron House is a two celled timber-framed house with a chimney stack on the south end. The house was extended and altered in the 20th century, although it has an original attic floor supported on brackjets below wallplate. The thatched roof also had a remarkably misshapen tiebeam, although this may have been lost with the majority of the roof during a fire in 2003.
