Summary

Church Farmhouse, in the village of Hardwick, is a 17th century or earlier timber framed house with a stepped black glazed pantile roof with gabled ends. This two storey building has an off centre brick chimney stack, small original mullion windows, and an adjoining wing to the northeast, probably dating to the 18th century.

House of three basic periods, part of one cell of a two storey house with braced roof and fossil mullioned window, probably 16th century; extended by two cells in 17th century, north end rebuilt to grand scale around 1700. 18th and 19th century alterations, remedievalisation 1960.
