Full Description
February 2004, Norfolk NMP
A bank and separate ditch of unknown date and function are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs from 1946 (S1). It is possible that both form part of the Iron Age to Roman settlement and field system recorded to the north and west (NHER 38463) but there is too little evidence to be certain. The ditch in particular shares an alignment with elements of this site.
Despite gaps in the vegetation, neither feature is readily identifiable on later aerial photographs (S2); at this date the ditch may have been in use as a track, while the bank appears to have been destroyed.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 18 February 2004
